I learned three things from making three videos:
The first taught me that if you produce value once, they will ask for more. The Director of Marketing at Praxis asked me to make this because weeks earlier, I made this video as a side project. Now I’m looking to produce even more content for a company I love—only because I produced a little value a long time ago.
The second taught me that you should never “pick” a permanent passion. Six months ago, I sold a huge amount of video equipment. I’d been making boring videos and thought writing was my calling. I went into writing, realized I only loved writing when I wasn’t getting paid for it, and came back to video. Nothing has been more fulfilling.
The third taught me that when you love something, your skills will explode. I look at the video that sparked all this compared to the most recent and I’m shocked by how much I’ve grown in such a short period of time.
