Be Grateful Now

I haven’t accomplished my greatest goals. I’m not in my ultimate condition and I have a long way to go. I’ve experienced setbacks, frustrations, and pain. I’ve tried things and I’ve failed. I’ve taken huge risks and I’ve been wrong. I’ve been prideful and I was humbled.
I look to the future and I see an intimidating journey filled with steep mountains, deep valleys, and wide rivers. Sometimes it’s terrifying. Sometimes I wish I could warp to visions of “one day” where I’m living exactly the way I want. It’s easy to get trapped in this mental prison and there’s something so easy to forget, but it may be the most important lesson of life.

It’s very important to start being grateful now. If gratitude isn’t present when we have nothing, it won’t be there when we have something. Those who say “live in the moment” are right. What’s the point of chasing a goal stressed and frustrated for years if you end up losing a huge portion of your life to negative energy? It’s not worth it to be miserable for years to hope you have peace later.

Learn to dance in the rain. Don’t frown inside for years hoping it’ll end with a rainbow. Just start living and laughing with the thoughts “I love myself, I love my life, and I love everything that’s happening.” Then, when you start building your life, it’s gonna be… just fun, and play.

Dont stress about the future. Build your life with gratitude and your future will be extraordinary. Make your current reality as amazing as you can instead of buying insurance in hope you might one day be happy. Never forget to appreciate the little things.

The main thing is finding that peace now. Be grateful for the littlest things. I try to practice this daily and when I do, I get emotionally overwhelmed with how grateful I am. This is just… amazing! From the heathy heart that pumps blood through my veins to the magnificence of nature, to the smile of a stranger and the lessons in disappointment, everything is truly spectacular. You are a marvelous miracle. Take a step back and just enjoy the ride.
